Dhaka, October 7: Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his grave in Tungipara in Gopalganj.

On Friday (October 7) around 10:30 am, they laid wreaths at the grave of the father of the nation. Later, she participated in special prayers for the souls of the martyrs of August 15.

At this time, a smart team of armed forces gave a guard of honor to the Prime Minister.

Earlier on Friday at 7:30 am, they started their journey with a convoy from Gana Bhavan. Later they crossed the Padma Bridge and halted at Service Area-2. From there, Bangabandhu's two daughters reached Tungipara at 10 in the morning.

She is scheduled to welcome President Abdul Hamid in the afternoon. After that, the Prime Minister will leave for Dhaka from Tungipara.
