Dhaka, 13 February 2022: The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2021 have been released on Sunday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the results of HSC and equivalent examinations at a function organized at the International Mother Tongue Institute at Segunbagicha in the capital via video conference from Ganobhaban at 11am.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Education, HSC and equivalent examinations were held in six papers on three department-based elective subjects in 11 education boards under the Corona virus situation this year. About 14 lakh students participated in these examinations. In 2021, about 14 lakh students took part in HSC and equivalent examinations. Among them 6 lakh 30 thousand students and 6 lakh 60 thousand female students. This time there were 33,901 more candidates than last time. One and a half hour examination was held by reducing the number and time in three group based subjects. There was no break between the multiple choice (MCQ) and creative (CQ) part exams.

This time the average pass rate in HSC and equivalent examinations is 95.28 percent. The pass rate in 9 general boards is 95.56 percent. 10 lakh 8 thousand 242 students have passed in these 9 boards. The pass rate is 95.56 percent.

On the other hand, one lakh 36 thousand 606 people have passed the technical board. The pass rate is 92.75 percent. Besides, one lakh one thousand and six students have passed in the Madrasa Board. The pass rate is 95.49 percent.
