RAB to monitor August events across Bangladesh, mask made compulsory

Dhaka, August 1, 2021: RAB will be patrolling all the events organized across the country on the occasion of National Mourning Day.

Everyone must wear a mandatory mask to participate in the ceremony. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal made the remarks after a law and order meeting on the occasion of National Mourning Day at the Secretariat on Sunday.

The Home Minister said, "We are going to celebrate the 46th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On this occasion, several decisions have been taken in today's meeting. The decisions are: Security will be ensured at the premises of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi on the National Mourning Day. Traffic control system will also be made for that day. Impeccable security will be provided at the Banani cemetery in Dhaka.

He said, "RAB will be patrolling various programs across the country including Banani cemetery." Detective surveillance will be held on the occasion of Bangabandhu's martyrdom anniversary. There will be uninterrupted power supply in all occasions. There will be arrangements for first aid.

Asaduzzaman Kamal urged all to adhere to proper hygiene and social distance during the vigorous National Mourning Day. He said, ‘Wearing a mask will be ensured at the ceremony and we will request that no one go to the ceremony without a mask. Besides, if any more instructions come from the Prime Minister's Office, action will be taken accordingly. '

The Home Minister further said, "White uniformed forces including uniformed security forces will be present at all the ceremonies of National Mourning Day." At the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Fateha Pat, wreath-laying by the Prime Minister, munajat, special prayer mahfil, social distance will be ensured and necessary security measures will be taken to organize the event following health rules.
