From Sunday 6 AM to Monday 6 AM, it rained in all the divisions in the last 24 hours. However, the trend of rain is less in the northern region. Patuakhali received the highest rainfall of 71 mm. 13 mm of rain has fallen in Dhaka.

Meteorologist Md. Shahinul Islam said, the low pressure located in the Odisha coast and adjacent northwest Bay of Bengal and west-central Bay of Bengal area moved further west and northwest and at 6 am on Monday, it was located in the form of land depression in South Madhya Pradesh and adjacent areas. It may gradually weaken as it moves further west and north-west. Due to its effect, deep convective clouds continue to form over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay of Bengal.

Highlighting the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Monday, he said, light to moderate rain or thunder along with temporary gusty winds and lightning flashes in most places of Khulna, Barisal, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions and many places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. It may rain. Also, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.

Day temperatures may drop slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. The meteorologist said that the trend of rainfall may reduce after the next two days.

In the latest meteorological situation report, the department said, due to the influence of land low pressure, the formation of deep convective clouds continues in North Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas. Seaports, North Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh may experience gusty winds. Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display the local warning signal.

Due to the influence of full moon and excess of air pressure difference, the coastal districts of Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jhalkathi, Pirojpur, Barguna, Patuakhali, Bhola, Barisal, Laxmipur, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar and its remote islands and chars are 1-2 times lower than normal tide. May be inundated by high tides of more than 10 feet.

Fishing boats and trawlers operating in North Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been asked to exercise caution close to the coast until further notice. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has asked them not to venture into the deep sea.

Besides Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Bogra, Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet region from south or southeast 45- Rain or thundershowers with gusty winds of 60 km/h are possible. The Meteorological Department has asked the river ports in these areas to display warning signal number 1.
