Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 26 March 2024: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has appealed to the concerned to find out and honor the dedicated people who work for the welfare of the people from silence, so that others can be inspired.

She said, "I appeal to you who are working as dedicated souls in different villages and other areas, to find them and honor them with awards. Not for their sake, but for the welfare of the people. Because, they never come forward or Don't want to come. The biggest thing is to be able to reward those who are making various contributions to the welfare of people on their own initiative or self-motivation."

The Prime Minister said this while presenting the country's highest national civilian award 'Independence Award-2024' to 10 eminent persons in recognition of outstanding contribution in their respective fields at the national level on Monday in the chief guest's address. The award distribution ceremony was organized by the cabinet department of the government at the Osmani Smriti Auditorium in the capital. The Prime Minister congratulated all those who received the Freedom Award for their contribution in various fields.

She said, "As a result of receiving this award, we hope that many more people will be inspired to work for the people and work for the country and work for the welfare of the country."

In his speech, the head of government highlighted the success of the Awami League government in ruling the country for the past 15 years and said that at least we can claim that we have been able to bring back the lost glory of Bangladesh. The status that Bangladesh gained after the victory in the liberation war and which was lost after the killing of the father of the nation in 1975.
