Dhaka, January 20: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal commented that Rohingya camp will be a poison for Bangladesh someday.

He said, "These Rohingyas have left everything and come here. They can be tempted by any temptation and accept any challenge. This is what we have always said. These Rohingyas trade yaba from inside the camp. They are shooting themselves, fighting."

He said these things in response to a question from journalists after a program at the capital's Bangla Academy on Thursday.

APBn members are taking money from Rohingyas in Rohingya camps - When asked about such reports by Human Rights Watch, the Home Minister said, "You have seen that they killed one of our DGFI officers in Rohingya camps. Brutally killed. There was firing on Thursday too. Houses are being burnt. Our APBn works there. Our APBn is there to do their routine work. What Human Rights Watch is saying in their report about APBn, I think, is not based on facts."

The Minister commented that Human Rights Watch should look more closely and report these things.

Regarding the claim that opposition political parties are being obstructed, Asaduzzaman Khan said, "Opposition parties are not being obstructed. No program of any political party is being obstructed. Whenever the party wants to hold a rally, we or the DMP commissioner are giving them permission."

He said, "We only say that the people should not suffer. You cannot block the roads, you cannot vandalize. You should carry out your political programs peacefully so that the people do not suffer. This is what we are saying, we are not giving them any obstacles. They are propagating as they want. Which is not true, propagandizing him with more colors... You know very well. The Prime Minister has not stopped any political party from propagating their political ideology, from rallying them."
