Bangladesh-Saudi Arabia Saudi crown prince assures PM Hasina of full support to increase cooperation
Dhaka, Sept 11: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman assured Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in New Delhi on Sunday of increasing cooperation between Riyadh and Dhaka in all possible fields.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saudi Crown Prince gave this assurance in a very productive meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the sidelines of the G20 leaders' summit in New Delhi on Sunday morning.
During the meeting, Prince Salman praised the Prime Minister's inspirational leadership in achieving significant socio-economic development in Bangladesh in recent years. Prince Salman expressed his satisfaction regarding the ongoing investments of Saudi investors in various projects in Bangladesh including Patenga Container Terminal, ACWA Power in renewable energy projects.
He noted with gratitude that about 2.8 million Bangladeshis are contributing significantly to the economy of his country through their hard work. Prince Salman thanked the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for supporting Saudi Arabia's initiative to host 'Riyadh Expo-2030'.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated the Saudi Crown Prince for initiating and achieving several social reforms in Saudi Arabia and for his recent remarkable diplomatic achievements. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina invited him to visit Bangladesh. In response, Prince Salman accepted her invitation and expressed his desire to visit Bangladesh soon.
