University Admission Tests Schedule of admission test in public universities announced
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 9: Date of the admission test for all the public universities in the country has been fixed for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Vice-Chancellors at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in the capital on Friday (April 8).
According to meeting sources, educational activities exist in 52 public universities in the country. Of these, 42 honours students are being admitted this time. However, 32 universities are taking group exams. Last year, 29 public universities were under this system. This time three more have been added.
These universities will have a total of three clusters. These are General, Science and Technology (GST), and Agriculture and Engineering. There are 22 universities in the GST group.
Besides, seven agricultural universities and three engineering universities will take exams in two separate groups this time.
The date for Agriculture group was not fixed in Friday's meeting. However, the test may be taken in September. In the GST group exams, there will be a total of three exams for the students of science, humanities and business studies. The dates are - September 3, 10 and 17. Engineering group test will be conducted on August 6.
Besides, examinations will be held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Maritime University on May 27-28, Bangladesh Textile University on August 12, Rajshahi University on August 25-27, Chittagong University on August 16-25, Jahangirnagar University on July 31 to August 11, and BUET on June 4 to 18. Examinations at Dhaka University will start on June 3.
