Season's lowest temperature recorded at 10.3 degrees Celsius in Panchagarh

Dhaka, Dec 14: Bangladesh Meteorological Department has recorded the lowest temperature of this season at 10.3 degree in Panchagarh.

Russel Shah, officer-in-charge of Panchagarh's Tentulia Meteorological Department, said the temperature was recorded around 9 am on Thursday (December 14).

Russell Shah told the media, "Temperature of 10.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Tentulia around 9 am on Thursday. 10.5 degrees Celsius was recorded around 6 am. This is the lowest of the season in Panchagarh. Especially since this region is close to the Himalaya-Kanchenjunga mountains, winter is felt more. The temperature will drop further ahead.”

According to the Meteorological Department, the extension of the sub-continental high pressure area is located in Bihar and adjoining areas. Seasonal normal low pressure is staying over South Bay of Bengal area.

According to the weather forecast, the weather over the country will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. Moderate to heavy fog is expected over the country from midnight to morning.

It has been said about the cold current, a mild cold current may flow somewhere in the western and northwestern regions of Bangladesh. Over the country, night temperatures may drop slightly and day temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
