Arafat Sermon Sermon of Holy Hajj will be broadcast in 14 languages including Bengali
Dhaka, July 5: The Hajj sermon will be broadcast live in 14 languages, including Bengali, from the official website of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government has taken this step to convey the message of restraint and tolerance to more listeners. The Hajj sermon will be delivered from Namira Mosque on Arafat Day on July 8.
Due to the Corona epidemic in the last two years, no foreign pilgrims have been able to attend the Hajj in Saudi Arabia. So this year's event is a little different than other years. This year's Hajj will be held with more than 1 million domestic and foreign devotees.
Compared to previous years, all kinds of technical facilities have been increased for the pilgrims this year. Last year, Saudi Arabia decided to broadcast the Arafat Day sermon on the official Hajj in 14 languages, including Bengali. The languages on the translation list are: English, Bengali, French, Malay, Urdu, Persian, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Hausa, Spanish, Indian, Swahili and Tamil.
The Saudi authorities are keen to convey the message of Islamic moderation and tolerance to the world by using modern technology to provide services to pilgrims and visitors.
About one and a half thousand years ago, from Arafat Square, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave the historic Farewell Hajj speech on human rights, Islamic teachings, women's rights and adherence to the Sunnah.
The translation of the Arafat Day sermon has benefited one million people in its first year. The country's Hajj management ministry hopes that in 2022 it will reach 200 million people worldwide.
