Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 7 September 2023: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to New Delhi tomorrow, Friday 8 September, to attend the G-20 Summit. In the evening, she will hold a meeting with her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. This is the first time that the Bangladesh-India bilateral meeting will be held at the residence of the Prime Minister of India.

A report in Indian daily Ananda Bazar published from Kolkata on Thursday said that Modi will meet Bangabandhu's daughter at his residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, not at Hyderabad House or South Block.

It is also written in the report that this house reception has been organized to convey the message of sincerity.

The summit of G20 countries will start from Saturday morning. Bangladesh is not a member of that group. But Modi invited the Bangladeshi Prime Minister as a guest only after India got the chairmanship of the G20 group. India has invited only Bangladesh among the South Asian countries to the conference, which diplomatic circles consider to be an example of the relationship between the two countries reaching a unique height.

The report of Ananda Bazar has written that Sheikh Hasina will also meet with the top leaders of South Korea, Argentina and Saudi Arabia. The daily reported about the possibility of Sheikh Hasina meeting US President Joe Biden in the dinner and conference room.
