Dhaka, Sept 6: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet in New Delhi on Friday evening, September 8. Various important issues including Teesta will be discussed in the meeting.

Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen said this to reporters at Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Tuesday.

He said, the meeting will be held on September 8 evening. We have many bilateral issues. All will be discussed. We have connectivity issues, let's talk about Teesta water. Then energy security, food security will be discussed.

Masud Bin Momen said that there are many projects between the two countries now, they will be discussed about their progress. There will be no opportunity to discuss the entire bilateral issue. However, the important issues will be discussed. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will go to New Delhi next Friday (September 8) to attend the G-20 Summit. The G20 summit will be held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10.

India, the current president of the G-20 alliance, will welcome the world leaders at the summit to be held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10. Leaders of various countries will visit India on the occasion of the conference. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the heads of several countries on the sidelines of the conference.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden on Friday evening amid the busy schedule of the conference. Besides, he will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron after the high-level conference on Sunday.

President Biden will attend the G-20 summit next Saturday and Sunday. At the summit, he and G20 partners will discuss joint efforts to tackle global challenges, including the transition to clean energy and the fight against climate change.

Indian Prime Minister Modi is keen on hosting dinners and lunches for his two close friends, Biden and Macron. But the schedule of the event depends on when the US President arrives in India on Friday.

French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Bangladesh after the G-20 summit. He will leave New Delhi for Dhaka on September 10.
