Bangamata Sheikh Hasina pays tribute to Bangamata
Dhaka, August 8, 2021: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh Awami League have paid their respects on the 91st birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader paid homage at the tomb of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib at Banani Cemetery on Sunday (August 8th). After that, Quader paid homage with the central leaders on behalf of Awami League.
Later, Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader briefed reporters.
At that time, he said, 'Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib was not only Bangabandhu's wife, she was Bangabandhu's lifelong comrade. Begum Mujib has given inspiration, strength and courage to Bangabandhu in the crisis struggle from behind the scenes.'
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader added, "Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib is one of the best Bengali women of the twentieth century."
