Sheikh Hasina retuning home after attending G20 Summit in India today

Dhaka, 10 September 2023 : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is returning home this Sunday afternoon after attending the G20 Summit in New Delhi.

After some time, French President Emmanuel Macron will fly to Dhaka from Delhi. He is coming on this pre-arranged bilateral visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, President Macro will pay tribute to the memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi No. 32. The French President will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister's Office and will also attend a banquet organized by the Prime Minister in her honor. The two leaders will witness the signing of two bilateral agreements and will attend a joint press conference.

During the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Dhaka, it is expected that some important issues for both countries will be discussed.

A memorandum of understanding on a second satellite for Bangladesh is likely to be signed during Macron's visit. Apart from this, there is a possibility of talks between the two sides on arms, aircraft purchase and Indo-Pacific issues.

The French Embassy in Dhaka said on their Facebook page that the President's visit will play a role in advancing some specific projects and economic cooperation.

The Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh also said that Macron's visit to Dhaka will take the friendly relations between the two countries to a 'new height'.
