Sheikh Hasina to hold her last public meeting before election in Narayanganj city today

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to Narayanganj after 15 years for this public meeting. She will be present at Shamsujjoha Sports Complex ground in Masdair area of the city at 2:30 pm. Awami League leaders and activists are in a frenzy over the Prime Minister's arrival in Narayanganj city. Arrangements are being made to welcome the Prime Minister. Shamim Osman, Member of Parliament for Narayanganj-4 Constituency and candidate for boat, held a preparatory meeting at Naam Park in Fatulla last Saturday, focusing on the arrival of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He said that about two and a half lakh people will gather in the rally today.

Narayanganj Metropolitan Awami League President Anwar Hossain said, "I have been telling people from all walks of life through mass communication that our leader will come. The people of Narayanganj are eagerly waiting to hear the leader's speech."

Mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy said, the news of Prime Minister's arrival in Narayanganj is flooding us with joy. She is coming to Narayanganj despite such a tight schedule. It has honored the people of Narayanganj, the party leaders will be energized.

She said that in the past, there is no place in Narayanganj where the development of Sheikh Hasina was not touched.

Earlier in 2008, Awami League president Sheikh Hasina came to Narayanganj town in an election public meeting at Osmani Municipal Stadium on the occasion of the ninth national parliament election. Just six days before the elections, she addressed the public meeting about the candidates of the Panti Constituency in the district. Sheikh Hasina has come to Narayanganj several times but has not entered the city.
