Dhaka, May 18: Awami League president Sheikh Hasina, recalling her return to the country in 1981, said that the day I returned, I met the people of this country and countless leaders and workers of my Awami League. Since that day, Awami League and the people of the country are my family.

She said this while addressing the leaders and activists who came to congratulate her on her homecoming day at Ganabhaban on Wednesday (May 17). Meanwhile, Sheikh Hasina became emotional. Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina, who was in exile for a long time, returned to the country on May 17, 1981 after Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's family was killed on August 15, 1975.

Urging the people to be vigilant, the Prime Minister said, Awami League is the only party that cares about the welfare of the people of the country, the rest are looters' parties, they do not care about the welfare of the people of the country. Keeping that in mind, I request everyone to pay attention so that the terrorist group, the group of murderers, the group of war criminals can no longer play with the fate of the people of the country.

Criticizing BNP, Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said, those who were vote thieves, robbers, who were regular vote robbers, now want democracy, talk about the right to vote. Those who were born illegally, have to hear these things. They will be on the field, we will be with the crowd, we will be on the side of the crowd.

Commenting that the people's trust is the only strength of the Awami League, she said, "We came to the government by gaining the people's trust and confidence through their votes. Their trust is our only strength. No more power. The people of Bangladesh are the only friends of Awami League."

Stating that Awami League has brought transparency to the country's electoral system, Sheikh Hasina said that many people talk about democracy and the right to vote. When was the right to vote democracy in Bangladesh. Since 1975, like stealing votes, rigging votes, playing with votes, playing with people's fate, today, as a result of the various actions of Awami League, the election system has been made popular by making various reforms, and people have been made aware of people's votes.
