Six arrested with 30,000 yaba tablets

Dhaka, January 9: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Chittagong District Police arrested six people including 30,590 pieces of yaba in Banshkhali and Lohagara areas. On Friday (January 8), RAB and police announced their detention.

The six arrested are Shafiqul Islam, 36, son of Jamal Hossain of Maheshkhali Kalarmarchhara area of ​​Cox's Bazar; Md. Nurul Mannan (56), son of Md Abu Tayyab of Chakaria BM Char area; Abdul Aziz, 42, son of Md. Mozaffar Ahmed of Sikdarpara; Md. Mizanur Rahman Parvez (30), son of Md. Ruhul Quader of the same area; Md. Enam Ullah, 41, son of Sona Miah of Teknaf Shahparirdwip area; And Md. Hasanur Khan (30), son of Ajat Khan of Komarpur area of ​​Satkhira district.

Among them Shafiqul Islam, Nurul Mannan, Abdul Aziz and Mizanur Rahman Parvez were arrested in a raid in Ramdas Munsirhat area under Banshkhali police station.

RAB-7 members recovered 22,590 pieces of yaba from them. Also seized were two motorcycles used in transporting yaba.

Enam Ullah and Hasanur Khan were arrested in a raid in front of the Chunti Forest Range Officer's Office under Lohagara Police Station. A total of 8,000 pieces of yaba were recovered from them.

RAB-7 Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Mashkur Rahman told banglanews that Shafiqul Islam, Nurul Mannan, Abdul Aziz and Mizanur Rahman Parvez were arrested in a raid in Ramdas Munsirhat area under Banshkhali police station. 22,590 pieces of yaba were recovered from them.

They were bringing yaba from Chakaria to Chittagong via Banshkhali on a motorcycle.

RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) Md. Nurul Abshar told banglanews that the four were handed over to Banshkhali Police Station after a case was filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act.
