Six succumb to dengue, 918 patients hospitalized

Dhaka, November 12: The number of people affected by dengue fever is increasing in the country. Death is also increasing. A total of 918 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital in 24 hours from 8 am on Friday to 8 am on Saturday.

Earlier, on November 2, a maximum of 1,094 dengue patients were detected in the country in a single day. With this, the number of dengue patients admitted to hospitals across the country stood at 3,275. Meanwhile, news of six deaths due to dengue was received.

According to the dengue report, 530 residents of Dhaka and 388 people outside Dhaka out of 918 people who were admitted to the hospital due to dengue infection in 24 hours from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am.

According to the information of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 47,670 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue from January 1 to November 12 this year. Among them, 44,196 people have recovered and received discharge from the hospital. Six people died due to dengue in 24 hours. With this, a total of 199 people have died from dengue since January 1. The first death due to dengue was reported on June 21 this year.
