Obaidul Quader Sponsors of militancy must be stopped at any cost: Obaidul Quader
Dhaka, January 19: General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that the violent paws of the patrons of militancy are becoming visible. They must be stopped at any cost.
He said these while addressing the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the month-long folk craft fair and folk festival at Sonargaon in Narayanganj on Wednesday.
Obaidul Quader said that there is a deep conspiracy in the country. Our country is once again affected by communalism. A faction has started chaos in this country through militancy. Violent paws under their patronage are visible in this country. Politics as well as culture have a responsibility here.
General Secretary of Awami League said, this militancy is the traditional enemy of culture. They are our anti-independence forces. They do not have Bangladesh in their hearts. But Sonargaon was once the capital of ancient Bengal. Sonargaon museum does not need to be a smart museum. Various historical traditions are connected with it.
Obaidul Quader said that they will not be able to be with Sheikh Hasina if there is an election. Will lose the vote. Think about eating them. That's why they left the field. Mirza Fakhrul is now sick in the hospital, is this illness not a political illness? Why suddenly with the movement program in the hospital. Fakhrul Saheb has become sick while playing sick politics.
He said, we are in power, we want peace. You have not taken a peaceful stand in the movement till date. We don't provoke, you provoke. Stop this provocative activity. Otherwise the people of the country will resist you.
Obaidul Quader said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated hundred bridges in one day. They (BNP) vandalized the plaque of an inauguration ceremony in Narsingdi. They (BNP) are inciting sabotage.
The Awami League leader said that if the security of common people's property is disturbed due to violent movement in this country, the government and the ruling party Awami League have the responsibility to take a careful stand to protect people's lives and property. We are not in conflict with BNP. We are not reciprocating. We held a peace rally. They incite conflict, violence and vandalism.
