SSC and equivalent exams start: About 34,000 absent on first day

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Sept 16: Thirty-three thousand eight hundred sixty candidates were absent on the first day of SSC and equivalent exams. Among them, 16,627 were SSC candidates, 10,958 Madrasa Education Board Dakhil candidates, and 6,275 Technical Education Board SSC Vocational and Dakhil Vocational candidates.

This information was reported from the control room of the Ministry of Education on Thursday (September 15).

On the first day of the examination, General Education Board SSC Bangla, Technical Education Board SSC Vocational and SSC Vocational Bangla-2, and Madrasa Education Board Dakhil Quran Majeed and Tajvid exams were held.

According to the information from the control room, the total number of candidates for the General Education Board's SSC is 15 lakh 30 thousand 815. Among them, 15 lakh 14 thousand 188 students participated in the examination, while 16,627 students were absent in the examination.

The total number of candidates in the SSC Vocational and Dakhil Vocational Examinations held under the Board of Technical Education is 1 lakh 48 thousand 238. Among them, 1 lakh 41 thousand 963 participated in the examination on the first day. 6,275 students were absent in the examination.

Under the Madrasa Education Board, the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam this time is 2 lakh 60 thousand 18. Two lakh 49 thousand 60 of them participated in the examination. 10,958 were absent in the examination.

According to the information from the control room, the total number of candidates for SSC and equivalent exams is 20 lakh 21 thousand 868. A total of 19 lakh 5 thousand 211 students have participated in this. These candidates participated in the examination simultaneously in 3,790 centers across the country.
