Dhaka, December 28: The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination for next year (2023) is likely to be held in mid-April, and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination is scheduled to be held in June.

Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chairman of Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and president of Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee, shared this information on Tuesday (December 27).

He said that all preparations have been started to conduct next year's SSC exam in mid-April. At the same time, there is a plan to take the HSC exam after two months. Generally, there is a gap of two months between the SSC and HSC exams.

SSC and HSC exams in 2023 will be held in all subjects. Time allotted for each subject will be three hours, and SSC level Information and Communication Technology (ICT) exam will be of 50 marks. In every other subject there will be 100-mark exam. Candidates will get three hours for this. In HSC also the examination of 100 marks will be held in each subject. Time allotted will be three hours.

However, as per the earlier announcement, the examination in all subjects will also be based on the revised syllabus prepared by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board. Due to the Corona situation, these two public exams are being delayed for the past few years. Normally SSC is conducted in February and HSC in April.
