The right hand, whole face and part of the left hand of the sculpture of Bangabandhu under construction at the intersection of five roads of Kushtia Municipality were smashed at some point last Friday night. Drawing attention to the issue on Sunday, the Home Minister said, "You know what happened in Kushtia, the municipality had installed a sculpture of Bangabandhu in the premises." It was done by the municipal authorities. Suddenly late at night the sculpture was vandalized. The two were seen in the video footage. They broke it with a hammer. '

The minister said four people have been arrested in connection with the vandalism of Bangabandhu's sculpture in Kushtia. "They came out of Ibn Masood Madrasa and carried out the incident," he said. One is named Abu Bakr, the other is named Nahid. They are not older. Two more students have been detained on the basis of their confessions. Their names are Alamin and Yusuf. The name of one of them is repeatedly mentioned in their speeches. These events are happening under his speech or under his direction. We will give details about it after the search. The investigation is still ongoing, so I'm not naming him.
