Sylhet Rape Sylhet: Teenager raped after lured in shooting videos for TikTok
Dhaka, June 3: A 16-year-old girl was raped by an acquaintance who lured her into believing they were shooting a video for TikTok app. The incident took place in Sylhet’s Lamapara area on May 19.
The victim's father has filed a complaint at Shahporan police station in Sylhet city on Wednesday.
Juber Ahmed Fanny, a resident of Lamapara area, and Liza, from Tilagar area has been named as accused by the victim's father.
According to police, the victim met Liza through a TikTok and Likee app video sharing community. A few days later, Liza offered the victim a chance to feature in a video along with another content creator, Fanny.
On the day of the incident, Liza took the victim to Fanny's house in Lamapara, where the latter drugged and raped her.
Investigating officer Anjan Singh said police were working to arrest the accused in the case.
