Taimur Alam Khandaker dropped from BNP chief's advisory council

Own representative, Dhaka, January 4: Independent candidate for the post of mayor in Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) election, Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker, has been relieved from the post of advisor to the BNP chairperson. This information was given in a statement issued by the senior joint secretary general of BNP, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, on Sunday (January 2).

BNP said in the statement, "You (Taimur) are being informed that you have been removed from the post of member of the chairperson's advisory council."

Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker said, "The party did not inform me about this. But I think if it is true then Alhamdulillah! Chairman Tareq Rahman has taken a decision timely. He has set me free for the people. Now I am everone's Taimur. I will go back to the people. Allah is the master of my destiny."

Earlier on December 26, Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker was relieved from the post of convener of Narayanganj district BNP, and joint convener Monirul Islam Robi was appointed as the convener.
