TCB TCB's pulse-oil-potato-onion can be obtained without family card
Dhaka, Nov 14: Pulses, soybean oil, potatoes and onions will be sold at fair prices through 25 to 30 trucks outside the family card in the capital from tomorrow Tuesday.
Tapan Kanti Ghosh, senior secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, said that 25 to 30 trucks of pulses, soybean oil, potatoes and onions will be sold in the capital from tomorrow through TCB.
Each person can buy 2 kg of lentils, 2 liters of soybean oil, 2 kg of potatoes and 2 kg of onions. About 300 people will be given this product from each truck. This product will be sold outside the TCB family card. As a result, 9,000 new families will be added to this facility.
At around 11:30 am on Monday, the Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce said that lentils will be sold at Tk 60 per kg, Soybean oil at Tk 100 per liter, potatoes at Tk 30 per kg and onions at Tk 50 per kg. Sugar will be provided if available. Sugar will not be given for now.
Meanwhile, the "Truck sale" will start in the capital Dhaka from tomorrow. This truck will be sold in 25 to 30 locations. Anyone can take two kg of pulses, potatoes, onions, soybean oil from there.
The Commerce Secretary said that 1.3 lakh families in Dhaka are being given products at a fair price through the TCB card.
He said, anyone can buy 2 kg of dal, potato, onion, 2 liters of soybean oil at the truck sale. Sugar is not available at this time. Sugar will be provided if available. In this, pulses will be given at Tk 60 per kg, soybean oil at Tk 100 per liter, onion at Tk 50 per kg and potatoes at Tk 30 per kg.
The secretary said that the government is giving these products at subsidized prices. Every product is offered at half price. District administrators across the country will implement the sale of potatoes at the rate of Tk 35 per kg from today.
