Rains Temperature dips as heavy rains lashes capital city
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 20, 2024: According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, it has rained in different parts of the country including Dhaka. The temperature has dropped due to rain with strong winds. Rain has come as a blessing for the fasting people.
The sky was cloudy since Tuesday (March 19) morning. But the temperature was high. The capital was scorching hot. After that, as the day progressed, the clouds in the sky began to increase in thickness. By half past two, the sky of the capital turned black. It started raining with a gale at quarter past three. The streets of Dhaka are wet with torrential rain. Many suffer from leaving the office. Rain was reported from Shukrabad, Jigatala, Panthapath, Moghbazar, Purano Dhaka, Motijheel, Kakrail, Purana Paltan, Shantinagar, Malbagh in the capital.
According to the Meteorological Department, the extension of western low pressure is located in West Bengal and surrounding areas. Seasonal normal low pressure is located over South Bay of Bengal. In the forecast for the next 24 hours, it is said that in many places of Khulna division, in some places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and in a couple of places in Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions, there may be rain or thunder with temporary gust or wind.
Regarding heat flow, mild heat flow is moving over Sitakundu region along with Rangamati and Nilphamari districts and may decrease. Day and night temperatures may drop slightly across the country.
The forecast for Wednesday (March 20) says that there may be rain or thunder with temporary gusts of wind in many places of Rajshahi, Rangpur and Khulna divisions and in some places of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Day temperatures may drop by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius across the country and night temperatures may drop slightly. It may rain next day too The forecast for Thursday (March 21) says that there may be temporary gusts of wind or rain with thunder in some places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet divisions and in two places in Rangpur and Chittagong divisions.
