Like the last few years, students are not worried about getting a seat in the college. This time all the students, who passed the SSC, have been admitted to the 11th, but about eight and a half lakh seats will remain vacant.

Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar informed this information on Saturday.

He said that there are more than 25 lakh seats in colleges across the country.

"This time a little more than 16 lakh 41 thousand students have passed all the education boards together. As such, more than eight and a half lakh seats will remain vacant. So there is no apprehension about the students getting a seat in the 11th admission," he said.

Stating that there is never a shortage of seats in class XI, Tapan Kumar Sarkar said that students will get the college of their choice based on the SSC results. College will be allotted to the students taking into consideration the choice list and result.

He also said that even if there is no shortage of seats, the fight for admission in reputed colleges will continue. Everyone wants to get admission in a quality college. But good quality colleges are less, seats are also less. In these, mainly those who get GPA-5 in secondary school compete. There are only a little over 50,000 seats in good colleges in the capital Dhaka and other district cities. Most of the student-parents will have an eye on these colleges.

Meanwhile, the struggle for admission in Dhaka's top colleges is always high. Among the colleges in Dhaka, Notre Dame College is the top choice for boys. This time too, students will be admitted to Notre Dame, St. Joseph's and Holy Cross Colleges through examination.

The education boards will release the admission policy for Class XI this week. However, there will be no change in the policy, said the president of the inter-education board coordination committee and the chairman of the Dhaka education board. Tapan Kumar Govt.

This year's SSC and equivalent exam results were released on Friday. This time the average pass rate in 11 education boards is 80.39 percent. 16 lakh 41 thousand students have passed. Last year (year 2022) pass rate was 87.44.

Meanwhile, 1 lakh 83 thousand 578 people got total GPA-5 this time. Two lakh 69 thousand 602 people got GPA-5 last year. As a result, both SSC and equivalent pass rate and GPA-5 have decreased.
