Own Correspondent, Dhaka, May 21: Agriculture Minister and Awami League presidium member Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak has said that there is no food crisis in the country even at this critical time due to timely steps taken by the present government.

He said there has been no food crisis in the country in the last 13 years. Even in the face of the food crisis and the threat of famine due to the Corona and Russia-Ukraine war, there was no food crisis in the country. There is no possibility of crisis.

He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the 29th Annual Convention of Lions Club Bangladesh at a hotel in Dhaka on Friday (May 20) afternoon.

The agriculture minister said there is peace in the country and people have security. There is no strike no vandalism. This peace must be maintained. The BNP wants to come to power through movement by holding people hostage and confusing people in the name of religion. They will not be allowed to do that. Everyone should be aware of this.

Calling on all to remain united in maintaining religious harmony, he said, "The Awami League has never nurtured communalism. I did not do politics using communalism. On the other hand, the BNP has always used communalism in politics and persecuted religious minorities."

The minister said fundamentalists, fanatics and opportunists using religion are still active. That is why we all need to be aware and united in maintaining harmony among people of all religions and castes. We have to work together to maintain the harmony.
