Dhaka, November 14: In response to reporters' questions about the drug involvement of the deceased BUET student Fardin Noor Paras, his father Kazi Noor Uddin said, "My son did not even smoke. There is no question of him being addicted to Phensedyl."

He said that spreading false news about Fardin's drug involvement means disrupting the fair investigation process and breaking the morale of those who stood for Fardin. Hurting their moral values. No one will ever be able to show whether the mobile was used by Fardin on the day who reported it or through mobile tracking.

Kazi Noor Uddin said this in response to the questions of journalists at the human chain organized under the banner of general students of BUET to demand a quick investigation into the murder of Fardin in front of BUET Shaheed Minar on Monday (November 14) morning.

Fardin's father said, it is said that six or seven drug dealers killed Fardin. But he was hit only in the chest and head. If six or seven people hit together, it was supposed to hurt the hand or the leg to some extent. But they didn't.

He said, "How can a boy who debates in BUET, goes to an international competition, become addicted to Phensedyl? Are those who take Phensedyl in debating condition? Can they compete internationally?"

Questioning the role of law enforcement after the General Diary (GD), Fardin's father said, "The day after Fardeen went missing, we lodged a GD with the police station. We are yet to know what action they took in view of the GD. We have not received any update within 48 hours of the GD. From the GD We are not satisfied with the action of the law enforcement agencies until the body is recovered."

Protesting the media's role in Fardin's murder, the students said, "Unfortunately, in the last few days, some media has published some offensive and baseless information about Fardin, which has disappointed us. We have already protested and highlighted the truth through BUET Journalists' Association. We hope that in the future the media will be cautious in publishing the news."
