Temperature There may be rain in 4 divisions, cold wave likely to decrease
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 25 January 2024: The night temperature is gradually increasing. The severity of winter is decreasing. As temperature increases, the extent of cold wave also decreases. In the next 24 hours, the cold wave may disappear from some other areas. At the same time, there may be light rain in four divisions, said the Meteorological Department.
Mild to moderate cold current was moving over four divisions and four districts of the country on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, cold front is blowing over two divisions and 2 districts of the country.
On Wednesday morning, the lowest temperature in the country was 8.4 degrees Celsius at Tentulia in Panchagarh. A day ago it was 6.6 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga.
The minimum temperature in Dhaka increased from 11 degrees Celsius to 12.4 degrees Celsius today. In the morning, the sky of Dhaka was covered with fog, but as the afternoon progressed, the fog disappeared. Mongla has received light rain in the last 24 hours from 6 am on Tuesday to 6 am on Wednesday, said the Meteorological Department.
Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman said that light rain or drizzle may occur in one or two places of Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Wednesday.
Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies. Moderate to dense fog is likely to fall over the country from midnight to morning and may continue till afternoon at some places. Air traffic, inland waterways and road transport may be disrupted due to dense fog.
