Dhaka, 12 November 2023 : Miscreants set fire two buses on fire in Dhaka within 10 minutes before the start of the fourth phase of BNP-Jamaat blockade.

On Saturday November 11 at 8:20 pm, a passenger bus of Lal Sabuj Transport was set on fire in front of the Notre Dame College Police Box. After 10 minutes, miscreants set fire to a bus of Gabtali Express Paribahan (No. 8) in front of Gabtali bus stand.

Fire Service Control Room Duty Officer Rashed Bin Khalid said two units of Siddiqbazar Fire Station went to the spot on receiving information about the bus being set on fire in front of the Notre Dame College Police Box.

Besides, two units from Kalyanpur fire station reached the spot and started working to control the fire after receiving information about the fire in Gabtali Express, he said.

Meanwhile, two cocktail explosions took place in the capital's Farmgate area. An explosion occurred in the back of a cocktail private car. On receiving the information, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Tejgaon police station went to the spot. The incident took place in front of Babul Tower in Farmgate around 7:30 pm on Saturday.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Police Station Apoorba Biswas said, we received information that two cocktails exploded in front of Babul Tower today around 7:30 pm. We came to the spot after receiving the news. The OC said, "Initially, we believe that the miscreants threw the cocktails from the roof or balcony of the Farmbridge supermarket and detonated them on the street." We are investigating this matter.
