Murder Two shot dead by terrorists in Kaptai
Dhaka, November 11: Two people have been killed in a terrorist attack in Gorjonia area of Wagga union in Kaptai upazila of Rangamati. The incident took place on Tuesday (November 10) at around 3 am. The deceased were identified as Subhash Tanchangya, 45, and Dhananjay Thanchangya, 32.
Kaptai Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin said the unidentified terrorists came to Dhananjay's house, woke him up, shot him and fled.
Two people died on the spot.
The OC added that locals said the dead were supporters of the Jana Samhati Samiti (JSS).
Opponents are initially thought to have carried out the attack.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Rangamati Hospital for autopsy.
Currently, the situation in the area is tensed.
