US committed to help Bangladesh: Biden to Sheikh Hasina

Dhaka, Feb 5: President Joe Biden said the United States is committed to helping Bangladesh achieve its economic goals.

In a letter written to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the US President said such a promise. The US Embassy in Dhaka recently handed over the letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the letter, the US President wrote, "As we embark on the next chapter in the US-Bangladesh partnership, I will, on behalf of my administration, address regional and global security, economic development, climate change, energy, health systems, humanitarian assistance; Especially interested in working together on other issues including Rohingya refugees."

"We have a long history of success and working together to solve problems," Biden said. "The people-to-people bond of the two countries is the core of our relationship."

Referring to cooperation in achieving Bangladesh's economic goals, the US President wrote to the Prime Minister, "The United States is committed to cooperation in achieving Bangladesh's economic goals and wants to work for the free and open Indo-Pacific vision we share with the country."
