US Presidential Elections: Victory says Trump; to move court

"We were just about to win, in fact, we have already won," the US President said on Wednesday from the White House, even as counting of votes are underway.

"We were winning in many other states and we were just about to declare it and then suddenly this fraud happened there. A fraud on the American people. And we will not let this happen," he said.

"So, we are going to go to the US Supreme Court and ensure that suddenly new ballots are not mysteriously found at 4 am and added to their tally. Quite frankly this is a shame to America and to the millions of Americans," Trump added.

Trump said that he and his Republican mates were about to celebrate a victory but suddenly something happened.

"But we will not let them get away with this. We were just about to celebrate such a beautiful thing. The results have been phenomenal... we are surely going to win. We are far ahead in the states where numbers are still coming in. They will never ever catch up with us," Trump said.

According to the present counting, Biden leads Trump 238-213. The majority number is 270.

The US President, however, won the battleground state of Florida with its 29 electoral votes, according to Fox News projections.

Trump has secured 51.3% while his Democratic challenger Joe Biden got 47.8% of votes after 97% of votes have been reported. Trump has also won Idaho, Fox projected.

Florida is the third top prize among all states and the largest that regularly changes party colors.

It backed a Republican candidate three times and twice supported a Democrat in the last five presidential elections. In 2016, Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by just under 113,000 votes.

Trump is also projected to win key states, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Florida, Iowa, Texas.

However, the complete picture of election results may take a few days to come as postal ballots and emails are yet to be counted.
