Uttara Accident Uttara: Constable dies as lorry hits him
Dhaka, 28 August 2022 : A traffic constable named Kazi Masood (38) was killed when he was hit by a lorry while on duty in Uttara of the capital.
The accident took place on Sunday (August 28) in the early hours of Uttara West Police Station while on duty in Sector No. 9. Inspector (Investigation) of Uttara West Police Station. Yasin Gazi said that the deceased Kazi Masood was working in Uttara East Traffic Zone.
Yasin Gazi also said that Kazi Masood was on duty on the east side of Tasin Pump on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Abdullahpur of Uttara Paschim police station around 4:15 in the morning. At this time, a lorry came from behind and hit him. He fell on the road. Later he died on the spot after being crushed by the wheels of the lorry.
After receiving the information, the police recovered his body and sent it to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem after legal proceedings.
Kazi Masud is the son of Kazi Hemayet Uddin of Dhopakhali village of Kachua upazila of Bagerhat district.
