Dhaka, 7 January 2024 : Bangladesh Awami League considers voter turnout to be satisfactory despite anti-election campaign and creating panic.

Barrister Biplab Barua, office secretary of the party, said this in a press conference organized at the Dhaka District Awami League office in Tejgaon on Sunday, January 7.

He said, despite BNP's anti-election propaganda and attempts to create panic among the public, the turnout of voters across the country is satisfactory. It is a victory for democracy.

The announcement made by the Election Commission and Prime Minister and Awami President Sheikh Hasina to conduct neutral elections has been implemented.

Biplab Barua also said that there is no rigging anywhere, the advance allegations of anti-election circles are not correct.

The voting was fair and beautiful except for two isolated incidents.
