Alamgir Want to work with all: EC
Dhaka: Former senior secretary of the EC Alamgir, after being appointed as the election commissioner, said he will work with everyone.
"Everyone has to work together," Alamgir said.
He made the remarks in a response to his appointment as commissioner on Saturday.
The former senior secretary said, "I don't understand how I came to be." I was at home. Busy with other things. I was thinking what to do tomorrow. In the meantime, one of your journalist brothers called. I said, what did you say! You called in the wrong place."
In response to a question, he said, I do not understand now. We all sit down, the decision will be made in consultation with the CEC that we will have sir. "Of course, experience is useful, knowledge is also useful, your cooperation is also useful," he said. Everyone has to work together.
Asked whether he would hold talks with the BNP after taking charge, he said, "It is not my decision alone." The decision that the commission will take is final. So I can't say anything about that.
