Waste Management, agricultural cooperation among seven bilateral deals signed between Bangladesh-India

Dhaka, December 17: Ahead of the historic virtual summit between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the two neighbouring countries signed seven bilateral documents on Thursday morning at the state guest house Padma.

According to reports, Bangladesh and India signed four memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and three other bilateral documents.

The MoUs signed are:

MoU between Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum, Dhaka, Bangladesh and the National Museum, New Delhi, India.

MoU on Cooperation in the field of Agriculture.

MoU pertaining to Indian Grant Assistance for Implementation of High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) through Local Bodies and other Public Sector Institutions.

MoU on Supply of Equipment and Improvement of Garbage / Solid Waste Disposal Ground at Lamchori Area for Barishal City Corporation.

Apart from these, a Framework of Understanding (FoU) on Cooperation in Hydrocarbon Sector, documents containing the Terms of Reference of India-Bangladesh CEOs Forum and Protocol on Trans-boundary Elephant Conservation were also signed.
