Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 7 October 2023: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "If neighboring countries go to the moon, why should we lag behind? We will also go to the moon. That is how we will build skilled manpower, smart manpower in the future." Prime Minister inaugurated the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12 noon on Saturday. She said this before the inauguration.

The Prime Minister said, "We need to improve this aspect (aerospace). That's why we need more research in aerospace. We need manpower, we need more research in this regard. Keeping that in mind, we need to educate and train our very talented youth. For this reason, we have already established Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University at Lalmonirhat. May this aspect of us improve further."

She said, "We see our neighboring countries go to the moon, so why should we lag behind? We will also go to the moon. In the future, we will build skilled manpower, smart manpower. We want our country to move forward, and Bangladesh to develop more in the aviation sector."

Sheikh Hasina said, "We will buy some more new planes (aircraft). An MoU has been signed with Airbus. They will also give some loans to the importers. I have a plan to arrange inter-district air connectivity."

She said, "Today, the whole world is worried about the impact of climate change. We have made Delta Plan 2100 aiming at that. In 2021, we got the status of developing Bangladesh from a less developed country. The journey of a developing country will begin in 2026. What will Bangladesh look like in 2041, build a smart Bangladesh with the goal. That's our goal."

The Prime Minister said, "We want our country to move forward. Aviation sector should improve. No one has taken so many steps for development in this sector in the past. Those who were in power for 29 years could not give anything to the people of the country. Awami League has given it. We have created a sense of self-esteem among people. Standing tall with dignity in the chest of the world."
