Dhaka, July 23: The situation created around the world due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, war in Ukraine and US sanctions has also affected Bangladesh. There is nothing to despair about. When the situation arises, you have to adapt to that situation. We will go with what we have.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said these things at the Bangabandhu Public Administration Medal-2022 awarding ceremony on Saturday. The Prime Minister joined the video conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital from Ganobhaban.

She said, the condition of every developed country is pathetic. "Where are we standing? We are still better than many countries because each of you has done your part. Still, everyone needs to be frugal. Special attention should be paid to avoid unnecessary wastage of resources."

The Prime Minister said, "We know that many people will write many things in newspapers and magazines. Will talk a lot on talk shows. The opposition will also talk a lot. It is their duty to say. We have to have confidence whether we are on the right track or not. Am I performing the duties properly or not? Am I making the right decision? Are the common people of the country getting service or not? The service must be confirmed."

She said, "We don't have to pay too much attention to who said what. After hearing who said what, maybe we will take that if we have any deficiency or not. Let no one be confused or disappointed by their words. There is nothing to be depressed about, when the situation arises, it has to be adapted to the situation. We will go with whatever arrangements we have."

Addressing the medal recipients, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "You should fulfill your respective responsibilities. We will build Sonar Bangla for the next generation. Bangladesh is moving forward, will move forward."

She said that 52 upazilas including two districts have been declared landless and homeless. "I hope we can declare the whole country landless and homeless soon. I can ensure a little land and a house for every person. It will help our development."
