LPG Price 12 kg LPG cylinder price drops by Tk 93
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, June 3: The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has decided to reduce the price of each 12 kg LPG cylinder by Tk 93. At the consumer level, the price of 12 kg LPG cylinder reduced to Tk 1,242 from Tk 1,335.
BERC chairman Abdul Jalil made the announcement on Thursday (June 2) at around 4.45 pm. The new price has been effective since 6 pm on Thursday.
While announcing the price, he said that the price excluding VAT at the retailer point of private LPG (at the consumer level) has been adjusted to Tk 97.3 per kg and the price including VAT has been adjusted to Tk 103.50 per kg. According to him, the price of 12 kg LPG including VAT has been adjusted to Tk 1,242 at the retailer point.
The BERC chairman added that Saudi Aramco had announced their prices on Wednesday night. We members stayed up all night adjusting prices.
BERC Secretary Md. Khalilur Rahman and other members were also present at the press conference.
