LPG 12 kg LPG cylinder's price rises to Tk 1,474
Dhaka, Feb 5: The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders has increased again. At the consumer level, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of each 12 kg cylinder by Tk 41 to Tk 1,474.
BERC announced the new rate at 3 pm on Sunday which has been implemented from evening.
Besides, the price of 5.5 kg bottled LPG at consumer level is Tk 676, 12.5 kg Tk 1,536, 15 kg Tk 1,843, 16 kg Tk 1,966, 18 kg Tk 2,211, 20 kg Tk 2,457, 22 kg Tk 2,703, 25 kg Tk 3,072, The price of 30 kg is Tk 3,686, 33 kg is Tk 4,054, 35 kg is Tk 4,300 and price of 45 kg LPG is Tk 5,529.
According to BERC's announcement, the retail point price of private LPG has been adjusted to Tk 122.86 per kg including VAT. Besides, the price of private LPG supplied in liquid form in reticulated system has been adjusted to Tk 119.04 per kg including VAT. Apart from this, the price of autogas (including VAT) has been adjusted to Tk 67.68 per liter.
Earlier in January, BERC had raised the price of LPG gas by Tk 23 from Tk 1,404 to Tk 1,433.
Last year (in 2023), the price of LPG and autogas were decreased five times, and increased seven times. The prices of LPG and autogas decreased in January, March, April, June and July last year, and their prices increased in February, May, August, September, October, November and December.
