BCS Health 28 BCS Health Association elects Asim as President, Nitish becomes Secretary
Dhaka, November 15: The 28th BCS (Health) Association has elected Dr. Asim Chakraborty as its President and Dr. Nitish Krishna Das as the general secretary. The 24-member executive council has been elected for a two-year term in 2020-21.
A day-long online poll was held on Saturday (November 14) while maintaining hygiene and social distancing amid the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
The 28th BCS (Health) cadre officers from across the country exercised their franchise. About 59 percent of the total votes were cast in the election.
Earlier last month, the election of the 28th BCS (Health) Forum. Mohammad Muradul Islam and general secretary. Sumon Kumar Sen was elected.
The online based e-election of the 28th BCS (Health) Forum was held on 26 October in the capital Dhaka.
According to a press release, 549 out of 745 valid cadre officer voters cast their votes in the online-based e-election.
It is said, the Gonotantrik Joybangla Parishad nominated Dr. Murad and Dr. Sumon panel got 520 votes and was elected to the full panel.
The opposition panel got 13 votes. Of these, 16 votes were considered invalid as they were incomplete.
It was further informed that the newly elected 63-member committee will run the organization till 2022.
