90% of the cabinet's decisions implemented in 3 years

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 8: In the last three years from January, 2019 to December, 2021, about 90 percent of the decisions of the cabinet have been implemented and the remaining decisions are being implemented.

A total of 689 decisions have been taken in the cabinet during this period, according to a report tabled at the cabinet meeting on Monday. Of these, 615 decisions have been implemented and 74 decisions are being implemented.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting. She joined in the meeting virtually from her official residence Ganobhaban while others concerned took part in the meeting from Bangladesh Secretariat.

After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam told a press briefing at the Secretariat, "The implementation rate of the Cabinet decision in the last three years has been 89.26 percent. Out of 258 decisions taken by the Cabinet in 2019, 251 (97.29 percemt) decisions have been implemented, while out of the 251 decisions, 232 (92.43 percent) were implemented in 2020 and 132 (73.33 percent) out of the remaining 180 decisions taken by the Cabinet in 2021 have been implemented."

From October 2021 to December 2021, 56 decisions have been taken in the cabinet. Of these, 34 decisions have already been implemented and the remaining 22 decisions are now being implemented.
