About 1 lakh candidates are absent in the 41st BCS prelims

Dhaka, March 21, 2021: The 41st BCS Preliminary Examination was held on Friday.

About 1 lakh candidates were absent. Absence rate is about 25 percent. This information has been known from the Public Service Commission (PSC).

According to PSC sources, 4 lakh 4 thousand 513 job seekers applied for the 41st BCS. Three lakh four thousand 908 people took part in the test. In other words, 99,606 candidates did not participate in the examination by downloading the admission form. Absence rate is 24.62 percent.

He said about 21 per cent candidates were absent in the 40th exam. Absence rates are not uncommon as he is. There was an experiment after about a year. A significant number of candidates took part in the examination. Attendance rate is satisfactory. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone for this.

The 41st BCS Preliminary Examination was held on Friday (March 19) from 10 am to 12 noon at 359 centers in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh.

The 41st BCS notification was published in November 2019 to fill 2,017 vacant posts in different cadres. Applications were submitted from December 5 of that year to January 4, 2020. Among the candidates, 322 will be appointed as Assistant Commissioners in the administration cadre, 742 in the general cadre, 619 in the professional and technical cadre, 692 in the general education cadre and a total of 2,017 people including 13 for assistant teacher training.
