Body Cam Airport ground staff to be equipped with body cam
Dhaka, Jan 5: Body cameras are being installed on security personnel engaged in ground handling of aircraft.
Shafiul Azim, Managing Director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said this while interacting with journalists at an exhibition of ground support equipment of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday.
He said that Biman Bangladesh Airlines has been providing ground handling services at all airports in the country since independence. In the past year arrangements have been made for the procurement of quality ground support equipment for the Biman GSE division, recruitment of skilled manpower for their operation and maintenance. Over 100 advanced technology ground support equipments will be added to the Biman GSE fleet in the next few months, increasing Biman's ground handling capabilities manifold.
He also said that body cameras are being installed on security personnel engaged in ground handling of aircraft. Radio Telephone (RT) is provided for all staff.
