Dhaka, June 5: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the Awami League government has established the rule of law in the country by getting out of the culture of lawlessness. She said this when the newly elected leaders of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Lawyers Association went to pay a courtesy call on the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban on Monday (June 5) afternoon. At this time, she congratulated the newly elected leaders of the Supreme Court.

The Prime Minister said, "BNP introduced the culture of impunity in the country, through the killing of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, the Indemnity Ordinance was issued and the culture of disappearances and murders and impunity was introduced. After the killing of the Father of the Nation, I did not have the right to seek justice, to get justice. This is extreme human rights violation. Today we have freed the country from that state of not getting justice. The Awami League government always believes in justice."

She also said, "The Awami League government has made the system so that people can get justice. Our government has digitized the justice system so that people can get justice in a short time without suffering. During the coronavirus pandemic, we have made it virtual, so that people can get justice in a short time at home."

The head of the government said, "People are suffering a little due to frequent power cuts during this summer. We are trying our best, taking necessary measures. Due to continuous democracy in the country, there has been incredible development in the last 14 and a half years. Bangladesh has been promoted to a developing country with the sole efforts of the Awami League government for 14 years. We are working to make Bangladesh a developed and prosperous country."

On the other hand, in the morning Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina planted trees on the opening occasion of World Environment Day and Environment Fair-2023 and National Tree Planting Campaign Tree Fair-2023 at Ganobhaban premises.
