Nomination Form Awami League's income is Tk 95 lakh in one hour from the sale of nomination forms
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 18 November 2023: Awami League earned Tk 95 lakh in one hour by selling party nomination forms on the occasion of upcoming 12th National Parliament elections.
On Saturday at 11:30 a.m., the sale of nomination forms of Awami League was made open to all. 190 forms of various constituencies of 8 divisions of the country were sold till 12:30 noon. 50 thousand taka is being taken per form. According to that, Awami League earned Tk 95 lakh in the first hour by selling nomination forms.
Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina bought the nomination form for Gopalganj-3 constituency after 10 am on Saturday. Through this, he inaugurated the process of selling and submitting party nomination forms. After that, Awami League president spoke to the media there. Later, after Sheikh Hasina left, the sale of nomination forms was opened for all at 11:30 am.
Meanwhile, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader and other central leaders bought nomination forms. Similarly, the leaders and activists who had been waiting since the morning, were eating hummilla from outside.
Amid this rush and chaos, 190 forms were sold in the first hour. Among them, 51 party nomination forms were sold in Dhaka division, 40 in Chittagong division, 11 in Sylhet division, 15 in Mymensingh division, 11 in Barisal division, 22 in Khulna division, 17 in Rangpar division and 23 in Rajshahi division.
At the time of purchase of nomination form photocopy of national identity card and 50 thousand rupees have to be deposited. Awami League has said to mention the party position and seat on the national identity card. Awami League nominations can be bought and submitted from 10 am to 4 pm till November 21.
