Dhaka, Nov 13, 2020: Human chain-demonstrations have taken place in the country to protest the 'rumors' of insulting religion, attacks on homes and expulsion and arrest of students.

These programs were held on Friday (November 13) at 11 am in front of the National Press Club under the banner of 'Bangladesh National Hindu Forum, Hindu Youth Forum and Hindu Chhatra Forum'.

Manik Chandra Sarkar, general secretary of the central committee of the Bangladesh National Hindu Forum in Manabbandhan, said, "The Hindu community is being attacked in different parts of the country, including Muradnagar in Comilla, for slandering religion." We see that these incidents are being diverted out of proper investigation. '

Calling the incidents a communal attack, he added, "The Muradnagar incident should be swiftly investigated and those involved should be brought to justice and exemplary punishment should be provided." I urge the administration to keep a watchful eye so that no one can destroy our communal harmony. "

Jhumur Ganguly, advisor to the central committee of the Bangladesh National Hindu Forum, and Kalipada Majumder, vice-president, were present at the occasion.
