Bangladesh receives 'International Peace Prize'
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, August 2: Bangladesh has received the 'International Peace Prize' as one of the founding members of the D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization.
This award is given in memory of the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Professor Dr. Nazmuddin Erbakan. This information was informed in a press release of the Press Wing of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Monday (August 1).
It is said that Professor Dr. Nazmuddin Erbakan Foundation Board of Trustees President Dr. Fatih Erbakan has sent a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Masyud Mannan, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Turkey who is also in charge of Georgia, Turkmenistan and D-8, handed over the crest and letter to Sheikh Hasina as an award at Prime Minister's official residence Ganabhaban on Monday.
